That's a design requirement, not an accident. Sites as rows, dates as columns, reservations as bars — you'll read it the moment it loads. The difference is it runs in a browser, updates live on every device, and backs itself up.
How can double-booking actually be impossible?
Every booking writes all of its nights in one atomic transaction against a nightly ledger. If any night is already taken, the whole booking fails cleanly and the guest is told immediately. Two simultaneous attempts can't both succeed — the database serializes them. It's structural, not a warning dialog.
Does online booking cost extra or take a cut?
No and no. The booking widget is included in the flat subscription, sits on your own website with your branding, and we take $0 of every booking. That's the whole point of Basecamp HQ.
What happens when a guest wants a site their rig doesn't fit?
The site simply isn't offered. If nothing fits perfectly, the search suggests the closest options and tells you which preference would have to bend. No more discovering the problem when the rig is already halfway up the lane.
Can I still take phone bookings the old way?
Absolutely — most parks do. Click any open stretch on the grid, type the guest's name, done. Phone bookings, walk-ins, and website bookings all land on the same grid through the same engine.
