How long does switching actually take?
The import itself runs in minutes for a typical park. Reviewing the verification report — checking the handful of flagged items and spot-checking the grid — is usually an afternoon with coffee, not a lost season. Most owners switch in the off-season and open in spring on the new system.
What happens to my future reservations?
They're translated onto the new grid and conflict-checked as they land. If an imported reservation would collide with anything, it's held for you to resolve instead of being force-placed. Nobody's summer booking disappears.
What if the importer isn't sure about something?
It flags it. Ambiguous site names, possible duplicate guests, anything odd — flagged for your review, never guessed silently. The report tells you exactly which items need your eyes.
Can I do a trial run first?
Yes — there's a dry-run preview before anything commits, and the whole import is re-runnable and non-destructive. Run it, look around, run it again after cleaning up your export. Nothing goes live until you approve.
I'm on Campspot, not Campground Master. Can I still switch?
Yes. The importer is built around data exports, and we'll help you get yours across — reach out and tell us what you're running. The verification-and-approve flow is the same regardless of where the data comes from.
Do I need to be technical to do this?
If you can export a file and attach it, you're qualified. The importer does the mapping; your job is to read a plain-English report and click approve. And if you get stuck, a real person helps you through it.
